Sample packing and labeling instructions
By following these steps, you help us receive your samples in the best possible condition!
PCR strip tubes (for sending a few samples)
Ensure that each strip tube is labeled on the cap or side with the corresponding sample index number from your order.

Important for mail-in customers: To prevent damage in transit, place the labeled tubes within a suitable hardened enclosure (for example, a Falcon tube).
You may send samples from multiple orders together in the same box. To help us process them correctly, please separate and label each order clearly. Please also include the printed confirmation pages with all QR codes included in the package. Example below:

Microtiter plates (for sending lots of samples)
To keep our prices low while delivering high-quality results, we rely on automation. Our liquid handlers work best with column-based formats, so we kindly ask that you submit your samples this way whenever possible.
If you have a partial plate (e.g., 21 wells), please fill it from the upper left (A1), moving down until the end of the plate and then starting the next column with sample index #9. You will end with well E3 for the case of 21 wells. Here’s a reference image to make it easy:

If your samples are arranged in row format instead, that’s fine too. In row format, sample index 1 is in A1, sample index 2 in A2, and so on, moving across each row before continuing to the next row of the plate. A picture in the case of 33 samples:

To avoid processing delays, please always fill well position A1. Also, do not leave empty wells or gaps between your samples. The number of filled wells should exactly match your order.
If you have multiple plates in your order, please number them "1", "2", "3" on the sides. Plate "2" will contain samples with index 97-192, and so on.
Sending 96-Well Plates
To ensure your samples arrive safely and intact, please follow these packing guidelines:
1. Seal with confidence
Use a heat seal or well-fitted strip caps to secure your plate. These methods provide the most reliable protection against leaks in transit. Adhesive films don’t hold up well under shipping conditions. If using aluminum adhesive, apply uniform pressure across the entire surface, ensuring a complete seal and smooth, crease-free film over each well. This method creates a strong, sealed barrier to prevent evaporation and contamination.

If you need supplies such as the roller or seals, consider purchasing our starter kit.
2. Protect every plate
Wrap each plate individually with bubble wrap or another cushioning material. This prevents cracks and punctures during handling.
3. Include your order details
Once sealed and labeled, place the plates in a small protective bag along with a printed copy of your order confirmation with QR code. You may ship samples from multiple orders together in the same box. To help us process them correctly, please separate each order’s samples into its own protective bag and include the printed confirmation page with the QR code inside.
